SUPERNATURAL | DRAMA | 16 MIN SHORT FILM | USA, English
On a night of celebration during the Vietnam War, Esther has a premonition that her brother is in danger while her family plays cards.
Esther has a premonition that something bad will happen to her little brother. What starts as a typical card game on a Friday night in the early 1960’s, turns to an evening of revelation, celebration, and tragedy, as her family grapples with their place in life, and the possibility of going back to where they came from. They moved to seek a better life just as thousands of people from Kentucky did at the time when Auto Manufacturing plants opened in the rust belt of America. While Gerry and Calvin obsess about their jobs, Esther and Zelphie have it out over these worrying “spells” that Esther keeps su!ering from. All the while, their little brother Mikey becomes absorbed in the horrifying reality of being drafted to fight in the Vietnam War.
